New Construction Roofing
Double L Roofing installs new roofs on homes under construction across Central Pennsylvania, on schedule, with materials that hold up for decades.

New construction moves on a schedule. Framers, electricians, and HVAC contractors, everyone is working against a timeline, and a roofing crew that can't commit to a date backs up the whole job. It's one of the more common frustrations contractors and builders run into when lining up subcontractors.
The other concern is straightforward: a roof installed during new construction is the one the homeowner will live under for the next thirty or forty years. Getting it right the first time with correct ventilation, proper flashing, and quality materials means fewer calls down the road and a better reputation for everyone involved.
Double L Roofing has been putting roofs on houses throughout Central Pennsylvania for years. We understand how new builds work. We coordinate directly with general contractors, show up when we say we will, and don't leave a job half-done while we chase other work.
We're an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, which means we install Duration architectural shingles with the training and track record to back up a manufacturer's warranty that protects the homeowner long after move-in day. That's a credential worth having on a spec sheet.
Every new roof we install is fully licensed and insured, liability and workman's comp, so there's no exposure risk on your job site.
Step 01
Reach out early in the framing stage. The earlier we're on your radar, the easier it is to fit your timeline. We'll confirm the scope, material selections, and a target installation window before the roof deck is even done.
Step 02
Our in-house crew handles the full installation: underlayment, ice and water shield where required, Owens Corning Duration shingles, ridge cap, and all the flashing details. We don't rush the flashing.
Step 03
When installation is complete, we provide everything needed for project close-out, including documentation for Owens Corning warranty registration. The homeowner gets a manufacturer-backed warranty from day one, and you have a clean paper trail on the roofing scope.
About new roof installation on new construction projects in Central PA.
That depends on job size and where your build falls in our schedule, which is exactly why reaching out early matters. In most cases, if we're looped in during the framing stage, we can plan for installation within a week or two of the roof deck being ready. Contact us early and we'll work out a realistic window together.
Either works. We're comfortable coordinating directly with GCs on new construction. That's typically how these jobs run. The homeowner doesn't need to be a middleman if the project is being managed by a contractor.
A complete installation. That means underlayment, ice and water shield at eaves and valleys, Owens Corning Duration shingles, ridge cap, and all flashing at penetrations, walls, and transitions. We don't install shingles over an incomplete system. In some cases, we modify things depending on what a contractor needs and has coverage from other subs.
Yes. Double L Roofing carries both general liability insurance and workman's compensation coverage. License number PA158334. We can provide certificates of insurance on request.
